Young Women in Science & Technology 10/03/08

DeVry University held its 2008 Young Women in Science & Technology Conference at the Denver

Convention Center on October 3, 2008, and we were there, making contact with many of the nine hundred high school girls who attended.

We explained to them the many technologies in Digital Destiny, particularly the ones centering

around criminology (in conjunction with the CSI unit hands-on lab at the conference).  Women are still a minority in the high-tech world.  Kimi and Kathleen from the novel are strong female characters who are involved in science and technology, and they can give encouragement that there can and will be more civil equality in the future.
